I have a photograph of my grandfather L J Todd 1904-41 and on the back of it MR BASSY A.F.FACTORY CU???? PENARTH ROAD would be grateful if anyone could enlighten me Regards

Hi - depending how old the photo looks, I see there was a lot of wartime activity around there - so

"Air Force Factory" perhaps?

Could this be the Admiralty Factory (AF) in Curran Road. Cardiff, just off Penarth Road.

Which was a munitions factory manufacturing equipment for the Royal Navy.
