Would it be possible for someone with access to the St-Brelade registers to find the following marriage and baptismal record.

Emile Duprey/Dupreuil/Dauparil (need his parents names, identifying info)
Mary Ann Henry d/o Jean & Marie Blampied
m St-Brelade circa 1857-1859

Baptism of their son Alexander in 1859.

Thanks in advance.  This list has been most helpful and I truly appreciate all the help received from its members thus far.  A sincere thanks to all.

Dennis

Hello denby  ;D

Are you sure about the dates?

I have found a Mary Ann Henry who married an Emile Dupreuil in 1853 in the Channel Islands.

Their son Alexandre Jean Jean Dupreuil was born 17 February 1854, Jersey, Channel Islands. He died 5 April 1951 in Quebec, Canada. He married Marie Esther Vigneau 9 May 1882, Quebec, Canada. Marie was born 7 May 1863, Quebec, Canada and died 2 April 1958 in Montreal. They had a child Margaret.

Hope this helps

Yes, I am very sure about the dates.

I think the info you have comes from a book I compiled back in 2000.  Where the 1854 year of birth is from could have be a typo, but Alex's Catholic baptism in Canada very distinctly says he was born in "mil huit cent cinquante-neuf" (1859), as supported also by the 1861 census of Jersey in which he was two years old.  What I want to substantiate is that he was first born/baptized at St-Brelade by a document or register entry from that parish, and ...

what I am REALLY looking for is a precise marriage date and place (hopefully, also St-Brelade) for Emile and Marie-Anne, as well as other identifying details for Emile (such as his parents names, age, or place of origin) to continue this line back.

Thanks,  Dennis

Have you looked at Jerripedia?

http://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/Jerripedia

Scroll down and hit Family Research, and then Church Records Database.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions.  However, Jerripedia doesn't go as far as the late 1850s for St-Brelade. And Family Search , while it says "Channel Islands", the majority of records on it come from Guernsey.  Have tried them both before without any luck.  Thanks anyway.

Hi Pam,

You did it again ... found the info I was looking for.  A sincere and great big thank you for your response.  As for the continuation of the line into France, I will search the Manche and Ille-et-Vilaine departments until I find the missing link, since I have links for both of these departmental archives.

Again, my sincere gratitude for all your continued help.  You're wonderful to have done all this and I appreciate it immensely,

Sincere regards,  Dennis
