Are you sure you have the right marriage?

If Ann was b 1838 - she would have been barely 16 in 1854.  1861 shows only one possible child - Fred aged 5mths

In 1871 they have a son called William Porter Blair and there is an 1861 marriage with an Ann Porter on the same page

Before we go down that track - did you obtain a copy of one of their children's birth certs showing her maiden name as Tock or assume it was the 1854 marriage

Coping others Trees does not work unless they have Certificates to back their info up.

As CaroleW said;
Before we go down that track - did you obtain a copy of one of their children's birth certs showing her maiden name as Tock or assume it was the 1854 marriage.

This is another scenario absed on CaroleW's info;

1841 Census
Atterby,
Bishop Norton, Lincolnshire
HO107/641/11/Bishop Norton
John PORTER, 25, Ag Lab
Sarah, 25
Mary, 5
ANN, 4
John, 1

1851 Census John Porter is born c 1814 Kildale, Yorkshire, Sarah c 1814 Wadingham, Lincs.
Mary/Ann are not at Home but John Jnr is born c 1840 Atterby
2 more Children, Robert 1842 and Harriet 1844 both born Wadingham.
Family living in Waddingham, Lincs
HO107/ 2115/327/8

1861 Census they have a Grandson WILLIAM Porter age 3, born c 1858 Wadingham with them.
Could this be William Porter Blair?
Also a Grand/Daug EUNICE Porter born c 1856 is there also.

EUNICE Porter Christened 09 Sept 1855 Snitterby, Lincolnshire
Mother ANN Porter

The 1881 for William & Ann shows a 9yr old dtr Mary b Worlaby so you seem to have the right family.  It's whether you have the right marriage

If it is the 1861 marriage - the William Porter Blair on the 1871 is 13yrs old so b 1857/58. I can't find a birth or baptism for him but there is an 1861 entry for a William Porter aged 3 b Wadingham (Caistor reg district) living with grandparents John & Sarah

I need to check the family in 1851 to see if they have a dtr Ann

EDIT - I see Trish has beaten me to it
