1851 Census Ann may be a Servant in East Barkwith.
Down as Ann Porter born c 1836 East Barkwith.

As we tell everybody - only trust your own research not other peoples.  We have seen so many people spend time and money researching the wrong family because they believed that somebody else's tree was correct

Sometimes - just one certificate can put everything into perspective.  In this case - a copy of one of William & Ann's children's certs will confirm if her maiden name was indeed Porter and not Tock

think I will get my great grandmothers mary J Blair birth certificate she married my great g father Alfred G froggatt that will show her parents and her mothers maiden name that way as you say I can be sure if its tock or porter thanks for all your help , a little cofused but will get there in the end ---I hope !!!

Son Fred's birth was registered in the December qtr 1860 as Blair but the marriage was not until the March qtr 1861
