No worries HL, it gets very confusing doesn't it?  :-\

I'm not certain about this and maybe Trystan will be, but I would think that if you download the (free) Nook app to a Nexus tablet, you would be able to borrow ebooks from your library via that app. You may or may not then want the Nook too.

The reason I have the Nook as well as the Nexus is that I can take the Nook on the beach. I wouldn't want to do this with the Nexus, far too expensive to risk it! My Nook is the basic one and was only £40, they had actually gone up in price from £29! They seem to be a bit more expensive again but it's worth checking a number of retailers if you do buy one, they vary significantly.

I'm sure your brain will be in bits by now but no doubt you'll sort out exactly what's best for you.

Good luck and do let us know what you decide on.  :)

Thank you groom.....that's certainly a good offer.

Thank you Roobarb, I honestly didn't mean to ignore you   :)     I am very interested in the Nook and  the Nexus7.  I need to visit a store to see what we're talking about and I need to think very carefully.  I can't probably justify buying two new items when I already have a Kindle but to have a Nook app on the nexus to get free books is a good idea.  I am however, amazed at the price of the Nook as opposed to the Kindle.

You are so right, my brain is in bits......but I will get there......and I will let you know what I buy....but it won't be tommorrow   ;)
Best wishes HL

Yes, I've just checked, you can install the Nook App on the Google Nexus 7 for free too. It's got a five star rating too with over 5 million downloads.

To install it, I went to "Apps", pressed the Google Play icon on the top-right (it's shaped like a handbag...  ::) ) , typed in "Nook" at the top, then pressed the big "Install" button. Bingo, it's on. 1 million free books.

Thanks so much Trystan  :)

I've googled and I know a local store sells them and so the next step will be to view and chat and try out  :)

Thanks Trystan, that's not quite what I meant though, obviously didn't express myself properly.

What I meant was, can you access library books via the app (not just direct from a Nook device). I can't really see why not but I'm not techie enough to be sure.  :)
