Alison Kinnear Grassick m.s. Poustie

Hi there

I'm hoping someone can come up with death data for Alison Kinnear Grassick who died in Manly, NSW, in 1965. She was born in Elie, Fife (Scotland) on 8 Mar 1884 daughter of Archibald Poustie and Barbara Kinnear and was married to John Grassick, 10 years her senior, on 21 Jan 1906 in 32 Easter Road, Leith, Edinburgh.

John's Army Service Record (from 1899-1918) gives me some bonus information in that they had two children - a son Archibald in 1906 and a daughter Mary in 1914.

Fingers are firmly crossed in the hope that something comes to light.

Mary Claxton (Maisie) died 14 April 1980

I'm not finding the death of John Grassick in NSW or Australia.  (we've eliminated the William John Grassick who died in 1974).

However I did find this on Australian War Memorial

That's Alison's John!  That was the last place I thought of looking for him and I got his Army records off Ancestry just this afternoon!!

Mary Grassick married Albert William Claxton in 1941 in Manly http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/

Albert William Claxton died 26 Jan 1982 aged 67 late of Avalon
