I am fairly certain that I did find georges marriages prior to his death on the drouin collection

Nellie Louisa Bull❏

Irene Lyla Lacey1908 – ❏

norman ernest Lacey1910 – ❏
.
Spouse Julia Holloway♂
CHILD Douglas Harry Lacey1917 –
I Was told although I haven't got around to checking yet that upon the death of his parent Douglas returned to live in England.

Thanks so much for all your help and advice x

Julia took on quite a lot when she married the widower George and then being widowed herself so soon and with a young one born of her own marriage. She married again in Montreal  04 Mar 1921 to a Samuel Robinson, batchelor.

I haven't been able to find any of the children or Julia and Samuel in the 1921 census. The marriage took place prior to the census being taken. Given that it appears Samuel and Norman (assuming they are George's sons) have been found in the voters lists, they must be somewhere and hopefully the others as well. Wonder if they are with the elusive John?

Investigated the wife Sarah - In reply 23 Michigan Passenger & Crew details for John Frederick Lacey gave a wife as Sarah.
There is also an entry for Sarah Elizabeth Lacey born 10 July 1903 and aged 45 years, arriving Port Huron 17 Dec 1948.  Going to the same Clifford Lewis in California who may be her brother. (writing rather blotchy)  Same 4068 Newmarch Verdun address. Same details for the son.
