13 th February 1931 - Marriage of Samuel Lacey to Mary Margaret Martin at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix. Verdun. Quebec.
Samuel Lacey residing in Verdun, not of the catholic Church, son of George Thomas Lacy and Nellie Louise Bull. Married to Mary Margaret Martin of the Catholic Church and daughter of Robert Martin and Catherine Jane MacDonald.

There is also a baptism of a son to the same couple - Victor Samuel Donald Lacey (now deceased) -Father Samuel Lacey and Mother Mary Martin 22 May 1934 at Holy Cross. The father was not present.

Detroit Border Crossing shows Donald Victor Lacey born 22 May 1934 Montreal arriving  Detroit, Michigan3 January 1943. Donald was a student. Father Samuel Lacey 387 Osborne Avenue. Verdun.

Don Lacey 74 years Verdun Quebec. Langley BC -  Vanc Sun; 2009-7-7; mumtaz

Don Lacey May 22, 1934 - July 2, 2009 After many years of poor health, which began shortly after his retirement, Don suffered a stroke on June 14 and passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital on July 2, 2009. Don was predeceased by his only brother Marty in 1952 and an infant daughter in 1959. Don leaves behind a family that he cherished dearly, and which loved him a great deal in return etc etc.
Will send remainder by pm.

The couple show on a Canada Voters List for York centre 1962 - Don is listed as an engineer living at 104 Cedarcroft Blvd. York. Ontario.

Second Marriage of Samuel George Lacey at Anglican Saint Clement. Montreal  - November 18th 1939

Samuel George Lacey widower of Mary Martin  to Olive Alice Turner widow of James George Symington Verdun were married, there being no opposition by authority of license no :- 13249

Witnesses were Sarah E Lacey, John Lacey and Arthur J Symington.

Noticed the nephew of Maria - Fred Russell appears on the 1911 Census at 913 Albert Street. Hochelaga. Quebec. Family under "Lecy" and badly transcribed.

Fréderic Lecy  (March 1894) 17 Juane Jane Lecy  8 (June 1903)

Fred Russell  20  (Jan 1891)  William Salvary  22

Bob Lowley  30
Berth Deheyert  24

Brother Fred, wife Harriet and children Annie, John, Francis, Florence and Gladys appear on a Canadian Passenger List, the Corsican arriving 15 September 1911 Liverpool to Quebec. This family were still living at 913 Albert Street Montreal when Fred Russell appeared on a Canada Ocean arrivals Form (30A) in 1922.

Wife Harriet Evans Russell died  September 1936.  Place of worship - United Church Calvary   Buried Mount Royal Cemetery.
Witnesses Frederick Russell, Fred Russell and John Russell.

John Russell born 1897 Bilston England crossed the border Canada to the USA 20 September 1920 arriving Buffalo, New York, USA. Departure contact was his father Fred Russell 913 Albert Street and the arrival contact a married sister Anne Mollarie. 1314 Grant Avenue. Kenmore Ohio. John was a machinist and had landed in Quebec 1911 on the Corsican.

Sister Annie was Amelia Mallaire on the 1920 census Kenmore, Summit, Ohio. Had crossed the border 1918. Lived in Akron Summit Ohio 1930 and at 3585 Saunders Avenue. Coventry, Summit, Ohio in 1940.

Give a shout if you need anymore on Fred and Annie/Amelia.

Sandra If you can find any more on Annie/Amelia you will do something I have not managed to do ... I could never work out why she became Amelia when on all previous records she was Annie ... I came to a dead end there :(
