George FORD christened Ashford 14 Aug 1834

Can anyone please check for me the name of his father on the original record? Familysearch has Samuel, Kent FHS data on findmypast has Isaac. I suspect it is actally James. Both have mother Susannah.

I can see an Alfred son of James and Susannah FORD baptised in 1804 but no George.  :-\
You may also need to look at the spelling FOORD.

However

Another online transcription lists George FORD son of Isaac (a labourer) and Susannah of Ashford 14th August 1834.

Presume you are researching James and Susannah with their family William Harriet George Henry Edward & Frederick ,

Family search and FindMyPast agree and  seem to bear out your ideas of father being James with Christening of Georges brother .

What a mess!

I am afraid the Ashford transcript maybe wrong. I have data from RG4 for Alfred, born 3 Apr chr 24 Jun 1832, Lady Huntingtons Chapel.

14 Aug 1834 ( the Ashford records date for Alfred) is the same date IGI & FindMyPast have for George.
