I wonder if anyone can help me.

I have a relative called Robert Knowles and I know he married in 1807 at St Andrews, Penrith.
He married Ann Stewart.

I am struggling to find his father as there is no details on family search.

Hi

Marriage entries prior to 1.7.1837 do not show fathers names so the original record would be no help there.  It would give you the witnesses names which may help if either were surname Knowles
