Robinson family
« on: Monday 11 November 13 05:21 GMT (UK) »
 Hi Everyone

I am looking for  the any decendants of Robert Robinson b 1862 Pendleton Lancs. He married

Eliza Ann McKenn b 1868 2 July 1892 Eccles Parish Church. Elizabeth Ann had one chid b 1903 she

died in childbirth 1903 Robert remarried a Fannie Smith b 1888 Derbyshire. They married in 1907

in  Cheshire Robert died in 1948 and is buried in the  Eccles Parish churchyard.

I cannot find Robert b 1903 on the 1911 Census.with his father or any of his fathers family.

I found Robert and Fannie on the 1911 census but they had no children born to them at that time,

I have found several births by the name of Robinson mothers maiden name Smith in the BMD,s

dates ranging form 1912 1930 1932 1934. Bearing in mind that Robert was about 20 years older

than Fannie. I have not yet found a death etc for Fannie yet.

Any help with this  family very much appreciated.

Thanking you in anticipation

Robert being 20 yrs older would be no impediment in itself (I was  looking at a family yesterday,  same age gap and the wife managed to have 13 between ages 20 and 39!) - however, if there were no children to the marriage in 1911, being 3 to 4 years after they married and if the 1911 census didn't indicate there were any children born to the marriage (living or dead), then I'd be somewhat surprised if there were any at all. Maybe the 1912 birth, but unlikely not  1930, 1930 or 1934? Never say "not" of course, unless proven but....

We do know from Robert's Probate in 1948, that Fanny outlived him:
Robert ROBINSON of 9 Cross Street, Eccles died on  19 February 1948.
Probate was issued 25 March 1948 Manchester to Fanny ROBINSON, widow.
Effects: £1838, 9d, 6p

Have you discounted this:
DEATH: Fanny ROBINSON, age 77 (born abt 1885), registered Barton Mar Qtr 1962

As for the child, Robert Jnr. If he survived his birth and infancy, have you already checked to see if he is with any of his mother's family?

Cheers

 :)  Hi Ambly

Thank you for your reply. That information I did not have or the death of Fanny.

or the probate of his will

Yes there is a big age gap but she could have had all the children that were listed on the bmd

once again my thanks  Yes I have looked for his wifes Family McKenn but had no luck there

or a death for him
