Milton Union Workhouse Hants : Job Harrison Master 1871
« on: Tuesday 12 November 13 12:21 GMT (UK) »
Any info on Milton Workhouse 1871-1881 welcome.
My GG-grandfather's sister Sarah Harrison ( nee Kirkland , prev. Haskard ) was the wife
of Workhouse Master Job Harrison in the 1871 Census. Her daughter from first marrge Grace
Haskard was a teacher in same workhouse. Both parents missing from 1881 Census but Grace
now teacher in Ashton-under-Lyne workhouse , Lancs. Can find no deaths of parents.
Any info re Job and his wife welcome , is there anything relevant in local workhouse records.

        Anthony Yates , Leicester ( 5 x G-grandson of Dr Thomas Kirkland )
Henry Rodwell Yates
Yates , Kirklands , Turviles and Haywoods in Leics,Derbys area.
