Royal Navy service records

Hello.
Would anybody out there be happy for me to send them copies of my great grandfathers navy records (1923-1945) and try to decipher them for me? Or just point me to where this could be done.

Hi Rob

Deciphering board would normally be the right place but if you need anything military/naval deciphering it might be best to post it here on the armed forces board where specialist knowledge of terminology will be of use.

I would suggest make a start with a few snippets and see where it takes you.  Someone may then offer to look at the whole lot for you if it is needed.

Thank you for all getting back to me. I don't seem to be able to attach the records to my posts as the file sizes are too big. Any way around this?

Matt, I would really appreciate any help you can give and I hope to make them available as soon as I figure out how to let you see them.

You can't post the whole image in case of copyrights so just post the bits that you can't read  ;)
