Far Water Lane alias Cargate, City of York

Hi!
I'm just reading a Quaker marriage record from 1715 and it describes the marriage being approved at a meeting held at 'Far Water Lane alias Cargate' in the City of York. Please can anyone tell me, or point me in the right direction, whereabouts in York this would have been? I'm not very familiar with the city but a quick look online and I can't find reference to these place names. Just as an extra, any sources/info on early Quakers in York/Yorkshire would also be useful and fascinating!
