Pete

If you haven't done  it already you might want to post this in the general section.

hi again all,
I have been going over this thread again looking in detail at all the clues and messages sent to me and a couple of things have turned up  :o
Twice I have the mention of Vincent Rogers c1560 (alias Bernard) which, having been mentioned twice may have some truth about it ? and also a few notes of a possible birth abt 1548, although that sounds like an IGI date.
Also a possible baptism for Dorcas Young 6-5-1580 at Chigwell, Essex. She was a widow when she married to Vincent and I was assuming that she had kept her first married name  :P

Hi Pete,

I came across this family whilst researching  for a book which is very shortly to be published. The book 'The Unremembered Inn' covers the history of a building in Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire. The next door neighbour was one Thomas Goodyer who died in 1641. He had four daughters, two of whom married clergymen. Jane Goodyer married a ‘Mr Timothy Rogers, clerk’ and Margaret married a ‘Mr Nehemiah Rogers, clerk’.

It would appear that some biographies are incorrect.

The book gives further details concerning Thomas Goodyer who left a will which can be found in Worcester record office.

Regards

Max

Hi max. Can you please send me more details in a pm or on this thread as the information  sounds very promising as Nehemiah is old family name so I believe  a great clue or link. I must get in touch with  the author of this book. Fantastic information regards pete rogers in the pub

Hi Pete,

I am rather new to this messaging - am not 100% certain what a 'pm' is and how it works.

hi  ;D
I managed to dig out the (buried) files,,,,, brothers ; Timothy and Nehemiah (and sister Ruth) Rogers marry two Goodyer sisters, cool  :o
I did have Nehemiah marrying a Margaret Collingwood in 1620, Doddinghurst Essex, I guess this could prove either false or true depending on the marriage dates you may have.

This being the Essex board, I will add a post onto the Worcestershire board looking for the marriage dates.
