Heartwell 1806---wife
« on: Saturday 23 November 13 15:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi was just wondering if any one can please help I have got a small family tree constructed but have hit a brick wall.   I am looking at John Heartwell born 1806 I have him on the 1841/51 census with his children but no sign of his wife on either census ????and it is his wife that I am trying to find. They had 8 children that I know of and I think he must have died somewhere around 1851 because it shows the children living with their older married sister Elizbeth (married John Bottom).

Would appreciate any help anyone can give please.   John b 1806 was possibly a farmer but Im not sure. Derbyshire seems to be mentioned quite a lot eventualy the line moved to Manchester to the cotton mills. :)

It would help us if you could give us the names and years of birth for the children  ;)

Hi thanks for info yes I already have the 1841 +51 census but they do not show Mothers name. !!!

The death you have for Robert however could be ours - mothers name "Hannah" ????

I clicked on the "family search" link and it has a camera at the side of Elizabeth and Moses names (they were the only 2 I looked at) neither showing mothers name. Does this mean that someone has put a photo of them on "Find my past " ???? if so how do I go on this site ???.

I no longer have an account with Ancestry or any other site at the moment.

Just don't understand why I cant find John's b 1806 wife  ???

John Heartwell b 1806  wife ????????
1st child - Elizabeth b 1829
2nd       - John Heartwell b 1832                                  * Info.*
3rd        - Moses b 1833
4th        - Mary b 1837
5th        - Robert b 1838
6th        - Ann  b 1840
7th        - Richard b 1841
8th last  - Harriet b 1846

These are what I have and Elizabeth married a John Bottom and had her younger brothers & sisters living with her and her hubby 1851 census. ( I am aware the spelling can alter _Hartwell to Heartwell (this has been the spelling for quite a lng time).

Hi Jackie many thanks for your info. Yes I agree with sending for birth cert but to be totaly honest this is for my In-laws  and costs are not coming from them (need I say more) they were just a bit curious but having done my own (I was adopted) and had such a fantastic journey doing my own  I sort of got them a bit "curious" but not to the extent of paying-out :(.

Your second post- my thoughts are:-  Elizabeth Taylor is John b 1832 Aunt (as far as I can tell) SO
I am presuming she is John b 1806 sister ????

Sarah, Eliz., John, Aron, Moses= I have Eliz.b 1829, + John b 1832 and his brother Moses b1833 but not Aron.  Because Aron & Moses are same date I was wondering if they were twins and Aron did not survive !!!!!!.

You say mother is Hannah to Sarah (who again might not have survived) also to Aron & Moses SO is Hannah John's b 1806 wife  !!!!
I would appreciate your thoughts.  Thank you.
