There is a public tree on Ancestry showing Leonard married Alice Emily Garfath b 1893 died 1943- whether that is a mis-spelling of Garforth I don't know but when I saw Beryl's middle name earlier I checked for a Cox Garforth marriage and didn't find one.

beryl married into the yarker family and had three daughters

It seems my grandparents were not born in Jersey but why they had a boarding house and I presume children born in Jersey §i have yet to find out.

I looked on the web site  you found Bryan onand found a Graeme and Beryl Cox listed but could not access further to establish whether they are my father and aunt.

According to the tree Beryl married John Sidgewick Yarker b 26.7.1920 Rochdale  on 11.6.1949 at St Chads Rochdale.  John died 1978.  The tree owner may be known to you - will send a pm with her name

They are.  It gives your fathers full birth date and his death in 2001 registered in Cheshire East plus the registration reference

thank you it is very kind of you I am still actively following my father's side and getting through the muddle on ancestry web site and also myheritage web site to gain info by that means as well which is certainly helping.
