Hi, I think the first part says "Want of Nourishment".
Frank.

Added, I think the last part is "Feloniously"

If you can bear it, there's a report of Mary Hannah Dyson's committal for trial on a charge of the manslaughter of Rebecca in the Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 7 Sep 1904.

Added: also an inquest report in the Derby Daily Telegraph 2 Sep 1904 (upsetting).

...and finally a report of the trial at Derbyshire Assizes in the Sheffield Daily Telegraph 5 Dec 1904.  The case against Mary Hannah was dismissed on the basis of evidence given about the character of her husband.

As you say it is sad, but it builds a bigger picture of your family history.
Only in the past few months have I found out about the death of my Great Grandfather under the wheels of a train while fleeing from a doctor and the police. I have for years driven over the crossing on a daily basis, now everytime I drive out of the village I think about him.

it does i agree. It's strange that things found our from so long ago can hit you like that though isnt it.  I find it sad there's no one old enough left in the family now to ask about this. :)
