Richard Lee of Wansford

I'm searching for the parents of Richard Lee, born in about 1762. He was married to Elizabeth Unknown until her death in 1820 at Wansford, Northants. Perhaps one or both of his parents were from Lincolnshire.

He then married Ann Cowham in the same year at Wansford. He had 4 children with Ann until his death in 1827 at Wansford.

I am not sure if this will help but I have some Lee relatives who worked on the Nene in Stanground, Huntingdonshire. The Nene runs though Wansford and Stanground, then onto Cambridgeshire where my Lees originated.

I can't see any connection but there are several Robert Lees born in Cambridgeshire at the right period. However, I am not sure how you would be able to link to any of them.

I don't know whether or not it's relevant, but the son of Richard Lee (1762-1827), was also a Richard Lee (1826-1912). He married Mary Ann Parsons, whose family were originally from Stanground.

The Lees arrived in Stanground from Wisbech after 1871, so unlikely to be connected.

I noticed that Ann was born in Hull where one of my Lees was born - Robert in 1869.

I am not sure why because the his parents were living in Wisbech before and after the birth.

Probably just a coincidence.
