« on: Sunday 15 December 13 10:41 GMT (UK) »
Hello All

I am looking for the birth of Francis Park born about 1805.
All I know is below. Can anyone please help?

Francis died December 1840 aged 35 at Sydling St Nicholas.
He married Mary Hanham January 1829 at Sydling.
Their children all born at Sydling were,
        Francis 1829
        Sarah   1831
        James   1833
        George 1835

Putting a father's name on the certificate doesn't mean he's alive; he certainly wasn't a witness.

In 1832 Francis was a witness at a wedding in Cerne Abbas, a couple of miles away, so perhaps there is a connection there.

Have you seen his prison record for 15.12 1829 to Dorcester Prison?
On that he gives his age as 27.He is a labourer married 5 8 i/2 inches  dark brown hair and eyes ,sallow complexion. From Sydling St Nicholas he has been given 3 months hard labour and was released 8.3.1830  .His crime? Bastardy!
