Emma Tate and Samuel Fenwick
« on: Sunday 15 December 13 14:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?

I have an Emma Tate born circa 1856 at Crook marrying a Samuel Fenwick in 1873 Auckland. As far as I know they had one child - Elizabeth Fenwick born 1876 at Railey Hill (?) Durham.

I cannot find Emma's parents. On the 1871 census she is living with her grandparents William and Elizabeth Brown, and the only census for her as married is the 1881 at Escomb.

Samuel Fenwick was born in 1854 at Coxhoe, and I believe Emma died in 1893 at Auckland?

Any help much appreciated! :)

I think the p.o.b. reads "Railey Fell" - there was a Railey Fell Colliery

Hi!
Many thanks to all who have helped! I think I have found Elizabeth Fenwick on the 1911 census as Elizabeth Ellen Bowes (wife of William Bowes) born 1876 Evenwood. Mary Jane Fenwick born 1881 is living with her as her sister.

Can anyone help with Emma Tates parents at all?

Thanks, Andrew :)
