Eileen M o'callaghan
« on: Sunday 29 December 13 20:59 GMT (UK) »
this is all i can find on her.  her mother should be Edith Mary Stephens and she was born 1882 in TEDDINGTON Middlesex England and she died 1962. father should be Hugh Ashby O'Callaghan born in 1888 in South Stoneham Southampton Hampshire England and died in 1930. if Eileen is one of theirs then she is the 3rd child. of 4. their first child was my father-in-law and he died in 1996. the last of Edith's and Hugh's children to die, and no one now's about Eileen so we think she must have died, as a child. as the family moved to Norfolk about 1920 the 4 children is coming up on find your past. and others whom are doing the family tree in the family are coming up with this only.

What was his name/birthyear/birthplace

3 births showing to O'Callaghan/Stephens but you say there were 4.  There is a 1921 birth but that was in Mitford Norfolk

Charles P 1913 Kingston
Eileen M 1915 Kingston

There is also a William R in 1915 but that was in Brentford and given that Eileen was also b 1915 it can't be the same family

Hugh O'Callaghan and Edith Stephens married in Kingston June qtr 1912 so any birth registrations would show mothers maiden name

William R's birth was registered June qtr 1915

Eileen's birth was registered September qtr 1915

It would be a physical impossibility for any mother to have had 2 children in such a short space of time

Bit of an odd one, is there something wrong on Ancestry (there's no image attached to Williamr, which often indicates somethign wrong with the entry)? FreeBMd site gives the dates differently, and thus possible

hi Carolew

i now what you are saying. and have been looking at this for about 2 years. and others whom are doing the family trees are saying that she could be part of the family. i allways thought that William was born 1914. so the only way she could be family is he was not  registered till later, as Charles all ways thought is birthday was the 10th of march. but when he became 65. he had to stay at work  for another week. as his birth certificate said the 17th of march

A child whose birth certificate says 17 March could easily be registered in the following quarter (April/June). If the parents were late in registering the birth they might have changed it to a week later to avoid a fine. Equally, the registrar could have misunderstood the date they meant.
