Where is Sarah Wisternoff?

Hi,
I am an absolute beginner with forums so please excuse any gaffs!

I am trying to find out what happened to Sarah Wisternoff, (my 2nd great grand aunt) the daughter of Peter Wisternoff, ex coachman to the Duke of Devonshire.

I know when she was born at Chatsworth in 1834, baptism plus her godparents and where she was in the 1841 and 1851 censii but she then disappears. I have disproved that she married a George White but cannot move any further forward.

Any help in moving me forward would be gratefully received.

There is a tree online parent's Peter Wisternoff & Sarah Newton they have Sarah born 13/10/1834 and a death in 1881 ..There are various spellings of the surname there is a death index for a Sarah Westrup in 1881 in Newbury Berkshire might not be the same person

Many thanks for your input. I have searched Ancestry and the IGI databases but have drawn a complete blank. The variety of spellings both forename and surname of the Wisternoffs is bewildering.

Agree with Nigel re marriage:- George White = Sarah Barke  March Q 1858 Bakewell.

Confirmed with 1861 Census Baslow, Derbyshire  her sister Elizabeth Bark is living with
them.

Still looking for Sarah Wisternoff.

Not sure how to add a separate item so I have modified this post,

I have found Peter's Will written in 11 July 1876 and in it he gives 35% to Michily, 35% to Monica, 10% to Sarah, 10% to Susan and 10% to John. It was proved on 25th of June 1878, so Sarah was still alive in 1876 at least.

Interesting that he leaves out his 2 eldest sons William and Peter, William had left Derbyshire for the North East but Peter was still local.

Hi Heather,

No, my last item on Sarah, in A******* is the 1851 census. Yes she was born 13th Oct 1834 and baptized on 4th Dec with godparents Matthew Frost and Elizabeth Hallum.
