Claire,
A little bit of extra info which you may not be aware of. In 1887 Thomas Rowan Linten married Hanna Stewart in Broughshane Second Presbyterian Church, Ballymena District. The fathers' names were James Linten and William John Stewart.

I think it's the correct family and in Co. Derry 'Linton' is usually a Presbyterian name. Would you like to start trying to trace the Ballymena family?

1911 shows 6 children but only 5 living. So, comparing 1901 there are the following children-

Eliza (12 in 1901)
Catherine S. (9 in 1901)
James R. (6 in 1901)
William J.S. (4 in 1901)
Rubertha (1 in 1901)- 1911 boarding school
Amy Rowan (6 in 1911)

* see that you've found William's death so he's the deceased one mentioned in 1911 census

To finish filling in a few gaps-

Eliza Linten
     Birth: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FB8D-CQS
Catherine S. Linten
James Rowan Linten
     Birth: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBXQ-86F
William John S. Linten
     Birth: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBFV-44M
     Death: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FT6B-14H
Rubertha Linten
     Birth: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBJG-GTB
Amy Rowan Linten
     Birth: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBLS-TP1

And found this which is likely connected- David Rowan Linton born 1893 Ballymena district
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBXC-C6R
That David seems to be a son of Samuel Linton (also born Co.Down) found here with large family in 1901-

More on that Samuel Linton's family on another forum-
http://genforum.genealogy.com/linton/messages/619.html

Couldn't find the family in 1911 census then found that they went to U.S. (Philadelphia) c1901.
