Searching for the marriage of William PETHERICK to Jane unknown ca 1824-1832.  Perhaps in Lifton Devonshire, Jane's home parish.  William was from Tavistock but I can find no marriage for him there nor in Calstock, Cornwall where three of their four children were born - the youngest born in Devonshire.

Thank you Carole.  I saw the entry on FamilySearch (sorry should have mentioned it) but it just says 1830 in Devon, no date and no parish.  Hoping I can find the actual entry.  First child I have is Mary who was born 1832 in Calstock, Cornwall; then Ann Martyn chr 6 Oct 1833 Calstock (OPC entry); William ca 1836 Calstock and Jane ca 1838 probably Plymouth, Devonshire. 

The PETHERICK line has been one of my major brick walls for over 40 years. Thanks again for your help.

William PEATHERICK, mariner married Jane MARTIN of this parish. Both signed their names, William spelling his name PETHERICK. (Minister spelled it PEATHERICK).
William & Ann MARTIN were witnesses as was James BOULTER (Churchwarden)

Hello Trish:  thank you for the 1841 info.  I did have it, but it's always good to get a confirmation.  I have the marriages of children Mary and Jane and Jane's death in 1913, but nothing further on Ann, William or Eliza.  William and Eliza do not appear with parents in 1851. I might have a sighting of son William in Calstock living with a farmer by the name of John LANE in 1851.  William PETHERICK is close to the right age and the right birthplace, but Calstock had several PETHERICK folk so not a proven fact.
