1841 census - what name have they been indexed as? COMPLETED THANKS
« on: Wednesday 08 January 14 19:52 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
Is there a way of finding out what name a family has been transcribed as on the 1841 census. After a trawl through on A* I have found who I am looking for on the 1841, Durham, Pittington, district 13 ref HO107 314 9. Entry 129 think the street says Best Street.
The family are William, Isabella, Robert,Margaret ( Margret) Elizabeth and Thomas. The surname should be Keers or Kears. the K is very visible but I haven't seemd to locate them on a normal search. The family next door, I am wondering if they could have the same surname and be related - no proof, just an interesting possibility to follow up.
Many thanks.
