Iam researching the history of my jewish family in Germany, I had found a lot of info. but I my grand grand father's birthplace and date, are still, unknown to me.
his name was Sussman Katzenstein, he was married to Emily (Peyser), and since 1879, he was a teacher in Wetzlar, Germany. the pepole there could find a hint from where he came.
and my many e.mails returned to me without the desired details.
i'll be greatful for any help.

Could he have gone to America at 20 yrs old - and then back to Germany later on ??
