Census information please

Hi all

I am trying to help a cousin with her husband's family tree, but not getting very far as she doesn't have a lot of information to work from.

May Butler married Howard Morley Cooper in York, Ontario in 1906.  The marriage entry states she was aged 20 (1886) and her father was John Harvey Butler and mother was Mary Fisher and she born in England.  She has another document which puts her birth year a bit later. (1888)  She has no idea when the family left England for Canada or any passenger list.  I haven't been able to find the family in the Uk census, so hope someone may be able to find some details on them in Canada.
I have found a marriage of a John Butler & Mary Fisher in 1877, bit this is yet to be confirmed.

Can't find them in the 1911 census but I did find birth records of three children for Howard and May.

John Howard Cooper born 8 Feb 1907 in York, Ontario
Frederick Morley Cooper born 9 Sep 1908 in York
and Robert Henry Cooper born 12 May 1911.

Their address in 1907 was 89 Regent Street.  Maybe some one else will have better luck.

 The family   seem to have  gone to  the USA   from Canada in 1922,    Have you   that  info ?

There is a very detailed tree on Ancestry complete with pictures.  The family moved to Michigan in 1922.

Hi all

Thanks everyone for your replies.  We do have information after the marriage in 1906.  We are looking for anything before the marriage.  Earlier census information or when they arrived in Canada. 

The John Harvey Butler born in 1863 in Basford married someone called Fanny and in 1911 had been married for 29 years, which rules out mother being Mary Fisher.

I have found a John Butler who married a Mary Fisher in 1877 at Nantwich in Cheshire, but can only find them in 1881 census after that they seem to disappear, so maybe they arrived in Canada after 1881.

but if you don't know if May & Howard met in England or Canada....

1891 census I can find 2 suitable May Butlers [one indexed Bulter on a******y] with mother Mary, all others have fathers not named John.
