Can't find the family in the 1911 Canadian Census but in the 1921 census they are living in Dryden Ontario.  Harry Cooper emigrated in 1908 and May in 1903.

So Harry couldn't have come in 1908 if he married in 1906 so I took a long at the original record - does look like an 8 but could be a 3 or

May Butler and H Cooper arrived in Halifax  14 Mar 1906 traveling from Liverpool on the Sicilian. H Cooper is a cabinet maker from Birmingham.  May is in millinery.

Well found VivienR. It would be really helpful if your cousin's husband or any of his family were aware of any siblings for May & Howard.

One 1891 census I found RG12 piece 524 fol 23 p 40 in Sydenham with mother Mary 43 married but no husband present had May 6 with siblings Thomas 16, Emily 12, Sidney 8. This is NOT the family though - in 1881 a father Joseph is present.

Other possible mis-transcriptions are Butter, Batler, Batter...

 Ah !   I saw that  date  on the  Entry   papers to the  USA ,  but  it  looked as  if  it said  'marr 1906'  so    I  didn't  investigate  further  !
