William James Todd from Scotland to South Africa

Hi

I am looking for more information on William James Todd, born around 1850 in Scotland and emigrated to South Africa around 1859. His parents were James and Agnes Todd.

He married Lizzie Ions Shrosbree in Tarkastad and had a brother, John Todd, born in 1864.

Does anyone have any information or advice on how to find details of James and Agnes Todd from Scotland?

Do you know what part of Scotland he came from as you could look for them in the 1851 census forms ...Also look for a birth for William on Family search or Scotlands people
