Don't know if this will help....What I do know is, that some of the Driffills and Crosses moved briefly to where they had relatives in Hunslet who originated from Wednesbury Staffs during the Industrial Revolution. Your Alice.. given the fact that she left Scunthorpe at the same time as Joseph, may have had something to do with the 'mini' migration from which a few seemed to have returned to sunny Scunthorpe.
