Hi im trying to find any further info on Alice above i have her in the 1901 census age 13 living at 17 crosby rd,scunthorpe with her parents henry and mary, and other family,unfortunatly ive found nothing after this,any help greatly appreciated,

There is one child deceased by 1911 - do you know which one that was?  If all others are accounted for it could be she.

I think you may be onto something as there are SIMPSON/DRIFFILL kids born after 1911 (Glanford Brigg) but no SIMPSON/DRIFFILL marriage in Lincs.

Possible death of Alice SIMPSON in Scunthorpe in 1971, DoB given as 27 Dec 1887.

HI many thanks for the marriage to william simpson,
i am checking it out but it looks good so far as they have returned to scunthorpe for 1911 census and living back amongst her family,
not sure as to why she went to salford.

Don't know if this will help....What I do know is, that some of the Driffills and Crosses moved briefly to where they had relatives in Hunslet who originated from Wednesbury Staffs during the Industrial Revolution. Your Alice.. given the fact that she left Scunthorpe at the same time as Joseph, may have had something to do with the 'mini' migration from which a few seemed to have returned to sunny Scunthorpe.

Thanks for the info on Alice driffill above i dont seem to have a connection with what youve sent me,
My alice was born 27 Dec 1887 Scunny according to death cert,died 1971, and a marriage to a William Simpson 1907 salford,8d-142, william b 1885 stickney,lincs,they had a son cabe henry simpson b 19 apr 1908,glandford brigg(probably scunny).as givien by other rootschatters also above.

The only Joseph driffill i have was born 1916 Rochester New York USA,died 1981 Rochester,New York USA.
