Marriage Lookup: William Melhuish to Mary abt.1800

John Melhuish bapt. 5/4/1807 Uffculme s/o William and Ann.

The only marriage of a William King to an Ann I can find in the DFHS Marriage Index is 18/12/1792 in Littleham - some 50 miles from Uffculme and earlier than expected.

I wonder whether William and Ann got married across the border in Somerset? Could someone kindly do a search of SDFHS records to see if such a marriage exists.

I'm confused on Uffculme... has it always been in Devon? How come that Uffculme marriage showed up in the Somerset records not the Devon ones?
