Please help me find my Greig family
« on: Wednesday 22 January 14 20:07 GMT (UK) »
I would love if anyone could shed light on what has happened to this family?

In 1881 John Greig, age 32, a plasterer, is with his family at Tower Street, Portobello. The family are:

Agnes, 33, ( my great great grandmother's sister, ms Lessels or variation on that spelling, mother Agnes Foggo, illegitimate. She married John in June 1872. I have her in previous census records.)
Agnes, 7
Isabella, 6
Emmanuel, 4 (birth record says Manuel)
Marion, 3

I cannot find trace of any of them after 1881, can't find any other births but also can't find any deaths. I presume they have moved as a family but where to?

Any suggestions very welcome!

That sounds promising and certainly explains why I can't find them. Thanks Rosie! Is Agnes the mother not with the children then?
