Do you have any more info on James Woods father,or any other info going further back.I see you mention that he could have been Jasper/James;did you manage to confirm that?
The reason I ask is im trying to establish whether there are any links between these Canterbury based Woods,and several Woods I have now connected to my family.In particular,a William Wood,chimney sweep,who died in Faversham Workhouse in 1846.He married 1st Elizabeth Woodman in Canterbury 13/04/1810 then Eden Terry nee Page in Faversham 10/06/1833.
William and Elizabeth had at least 6 children baptized in Canterbury between 1813 and 1826.
I will put a bit more info on another post ive found relating specifically to the Woods.
Any help in confirming or eliminating a link would be much appreciated.
