May/Mary Farrington/Corbett

Im after any information that people can find for me relating to Mary Farrington. A family member has her birth as the 14th June 1921 which I have found a record of. I have her parents as Phillip Farrington 1892-1993 and Mary Davis 1897-1971 both born in Dublin (My maternal Grand Parents). I have many siblings of this marriage and some of their marriages and children and grand children most of which are living in the Birmingham area.

They have her date of death as the 1st March 1969 in Finglas and that she is buried in Mulhuddert Cemetery. I can not find any records pertaining to this. I know that she had at least 2 children with a William Corbett once still alive (a Male).

She also raised two girls from a previous marriage/relationship of William Corbett as their mother allegedly died ? during child birth.

I have an address as kildonan drive in finglas west, dublin 11.

Any information greatly appreciated I have been trying to locate information on this side of the family for several months and am failing at every hurdle. This is my maternal side of the family and I haven't got back very far. Where as my paternal side I am back to 1690's with multiple limbs and very distant relations

Probable marriage of Mary Farrington to William Corbett in 1940

Going back further and subject to confirmation

This is a marriage in 1934 of William Corbett
Of the four possible brides there is a good possibility that his wife was Kathleen Monahan as there are two births during the 1930s to this combination of names in Dublin North
Child 1 and Child 2 bearing in mind both could be still living
There is then a death in 1940 of a Kathleen Corbett aged 25 which would tie in with your information to date

There is only one birth I can see to a Corbett/Farrington combination, this is in 1950 in Dublin North

1939 Register of Electors shows a William and Kathleen Corbett at 5 Prospect Square.

based on dathai's findings I looked further at Glasnevin
There is a 1936 burial of a John Corbett aged 0.4 with an address at Prospect Sq
and a civil death record to correspond

I haven't located a second daughter to this marriage

You could also bear in mind that they may have taken in a child as their own as adoptions were in the infancy of formalisation and many families just assumed the role of parenting

What info have you got on her parents,are your dates assumed from dates given at death or have you got certs for them as there are Farringtons and Davis families in the Chapelizod area of Dublin 1901/1911.

I'd agree dathai with the Chapelizod connection as there are only 2 Philip Farringtons on the Irish 1911 census and one is aged 80!
There is a 1916 marriage in Dublin South Jan-Mar V2 P648 of
Philip Farrington and Mary Davis

He is also referred to on the prison records of the time
