Dutch Akten
« on: Thursday 06 February 14 10:48 GMT (UK) »
When I was working on my Dutch tree I employed a researcher for a while and she obtained for me lots of akten. In England I have had to sign copyright declarations for items from Record Offices/Archives. I am putting my tree on Ancestry and would like to add some akten. I have seen lots of Dutch trees on the web but not many akten. Is there a copyright problem if I add akten? Thanks, claytonbradley

Clayton,
I don't think you will encounter any copyrights problems, most of them are public.
If you on the other hand got hold off private letters held by a museum you are likely to be prohibited to publish them.

Greetings,
Dauro....
