Buffalo USA
« on: Saturday 08 February 14 20:26 GMT (UK) »
My ancestor Albert Edward Robson, born 1868 Leeds UK, a railway worker at Doncaster, lost his wife 1894 . He must have emigrated, as he died 16/3/1902 at Buffalo, USA.  I can find no trace of him leaving UK/arriving USA, or census etc etc.  Would really appreciate any information. Many thanks.

If he ended up in Buffalo he could easily have arrived in U.S. via Canada so don't forget to check Canadian ports when searching.

Thanks, but there is nothing for Canada or anywhere else in the UK search engines.

Because it says so in the Ancestry UK wills and probates, with probate granted in London in October that year (1902) to two well known relatives. It does not say which Buffalo in USA, but there must be some info on him, I hope!!  Thanks.

YES, his wife was Alice Emma Blackshaw, died 1894 at Doncaster.
