hi there....   welcome to rootschat.

I assume this is the lineage you are chasing>

Desmond C   Brewer [Clarke] Birth registered Sept quarter of  1915 at Ashbourne  7b 1260

the only marriage I could see was>

Allen Louis BREWER   to a   Lillie  Clarke  registered Dec quarter of 1903 at Wimborne  5a 605

that seemed to make any sense but not knowing the father of Desmond I could not clarify......

If you have the birth certificate could you put up the details of parents for Desmond, including occ etc as it was written ......

sorry I cant help at moment..... uk comes online in a few hours.....
 :)

Thanks fastfusion - baton received! ;D

Desmond Constantine Brewer, born 1915 had a sister:
September qtr 1913
Ashbourne district    vol 7b, page 1385
Brewer, Blanche E A     Mother's maiden name: Clarke

I don't think that marriage is correct?
I found a tree on Ancestry for that couple - and Blanche and Douglas do not feature!
::)

I would think that Desmond's mother was married before? So we won't find a Brewer/Clarke marriage?

We really need the father's forename from the birth certificate!
Or his Australian death certificate?

however there are other things online which seem to indicate the marriage is the correct one.  one states that desmond had 2 brothers and I sister and gave their names  leading to the 1911 census of allan Louis brewer and lily . they are living in Salisbury and alan is an estate woodcutter.

this informant also states that desmonds sister amy married William cheesewright  and emigrated to  Australia too.  the marriage  to William cheesewright in Liverpool in 1942 gives it as blanche e a  brewer

if this is the correct parents then lily states born 1878 cropton Nottinghamshire. I cannot find that place however.

incidentally allan Louis mother was called blanche too. the brewere family is very easily traced back online.

however I assume you are only really interested in lily Clarke as you have specifically asked about her. perhaps you already know about the brewer family

wots this about batons????   ;D

vronlady >>>>> to make a start on finding Lily we had to first find the foundation material of the Brewers as there are many many brewer families in the world...some even brew their own.

So after all that   can I assume the original answer I gave was of binding for this???? or was I off the mark?

 ;)

fastfusion - I know we had to find the right brewer family to proceed

all I am asking is if the OP wants more info on the brewer family or whether she has this and is just interested in lily clark.
