Redlingfield families - Muddock, Mattock et al

I suggest that you visit the Redlingfield F/H pages at
http://redlingfield.onesuffolk.net/home/local-history/church-and-priory/
you will find that they are informative and well presented.
I fear that you will not find any consistency in the spelling of the Mattock, Maddock, Muddock, Muttock etc family surname.
For each Census, Birth, Baptism, Marriage, Death or Burial event the spelling may well vary through ages. You will even find inconsistences between the spelling of sibling surnames.
For starters, I suggest that you refer to 1) Southolt & Redlingfield parish records at the Suffolk RO.
2) Muddock family web page at http://muddock.com/
