This Wikipedia article gives 2 sources which might be worth looking at-

You could also try PRONI's e-catalogue to see if they hold any of the company records-

The Irish Merchant Seamen database for 1918-21 lists a Jerry Boyce of Belfast, born 13th September 1891. All other Boyces listed seem to have been born County Donegal.  Could 'Jerry' have been the Jeremiah you mentioned? There is also a picture of him, looking dapper in a suit and bow-tie!

A 1911 crew list for vessel Tahiti has a Robert Boyce of Belfast born 1875.

Merchant Seamen indexes for 1845 - 1854 also list a James Boyce born Belfast c1829 and one born 25th January 1830 (could be same person listed twice under slightly different dates).

Indexes for 1853  - 1857 have a Robert Boyce of Belfast, again a couple of birth dates, 1827 or 1831.

Hi Thomas Boyce was my great grandfather and Jeremiah my grandfather. They were boatmen on the Lagan and also owned a boarding house in Hamilton street. That’s why so many people at that address for 1911 census.
