He was definitely registered with his name, I was old that much.
The annoying thing is, I have his actual date of birth, I just can't find where he was born :(

How does your source know that 'he was definitely registered with his name'? Parents can register a child without forenames being chosen (although it is very much frowned upon now) and then have the child's name added so that when a birth certificate is purchased the child's full name is shown.

You could order both birth certificates and check the birthdates. Were any siblings ever mentioned?

Ah, was confused because you said 'moved to Ireland.' I would be inclined to start with marriage certificate to see father's name. If we have that we might be able to find the names of the parents for those 2 possible births...
