Moses Jones/Ann Owens Dolrhedyn

Hello,  These Joneses are impossible to find!  My granddad was Hywel Jones, born 1900 at Dolrhedyn, his dad was Moses Jones born around 1860 and Ann Owens born around 1865.  Some of the family lived in Rhosydd Terrace, and worked up in the Quarry.  These people only appear in the 1901 census (plus my granddad's birth and marriage in the BMD index) and nowhere else at all.  I was wondering if anyone knew any other names connected with this family that might help me look.

1901 shows an 11yr old daughter Maggie - she was either Ann's daughter from a previous marriage or was illegitimate.  A Margaret Owens aged 2 b Festiniog was with relatives in 1891

A copy of the 1892 marriage cert will give you their respective marital status and also their fathers names

This family also appears on the 1911 census, although we can't post details. However, you can find them all in the familysearch.org index.

Search on Hywel or Howel Jones born 1900 in Ffestiniog, you will find him.

If you then search on Jones with nothing else but Wales and the exact birth place, you can see the rest of the family names but no details. There is a link to the partner site where you can see the image but will have to buy some credits. It is also available on Ancestry.

I think the Glamorgan family is a different one - it also appears in 1901.

A simple search in Ancestry is Jones with Dolrhedyn as a key word. This will list the children but with a incorrect father.
