Hoping that someone can help or clarify the information I have on George Holmes, Chrstnd 1/9/1794 at Huttons Ambo near York. I have details of four people who I believe to be his siblings, William 1783,John 1785, Catherine 1787, and Samuel 1789. Can you confirm please that these are one and the same family ? Stepping back a generation, I have George's parents as William and Elizabeth, but I am having a problem with their facts and dates. William Holmes Bapt. 1750 in Crambe, Yorks. married Elizabeth Tindale/Tindall Dec. 1790 Crambe. or William Holmes married Sarah Lawson Oct 1798 Crambe ..or Elizabeth Tindall married William Lapish Feb. 1781 Malton.
