Ok, I am from the grandfathers  line of John Kennedy who married Maria Buckley.
Are you looking at Hingerty and Kennedy?
There are two Hingerty's in the Tithe records

You would have to know John's Fathers name.
You say they had a son John (Kennedy.....who was his Mother as there are two families on this post) who went to Australia
Do you know what ship they went on?

From what I can see the whole family moved to Australia, but the son John was born in Tipperary before they moved.

The son married Margret Boland so I wonder if this is another family.
There are too many John Kennedys'.

Yes there are 1000's of Kennedy's.

What year did they go and what was the ship name?
I cannot get into Trove to see.

I do have a list of Kennedy names that went to Australia and he and the family are not listed.

My aunt did the research, I'll need to ask what she has.

But based on his son James being born around 1844 in Australia and his son John born in Ireland around 1843 they must of travelled between 1843 and 1844.
