10th Royal Hussars
« on: Friday 28 February 14 20:38 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information on Captain Charles Vernon Maloney of the 10th Royal Hussars.

I have no information for him apart from the birth certificate of his son Charles Vernon Stuart Maloney 27 January 1890 in Builth, Brecon & Flint.

His wife was Elizabeth Stuart.

I cannot find them on any census or in any military record.

Please can anyone suggest where I could start looking.

My guess is Ireland

If you are descended from one of Charles jnrs children - when and where did he marry?
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

This is not my family. I was asked to help a friend because of my interest in family history.

She is hoping to find a link to Charles Vernon snr but has no information other than the birth certificate of Charles Vernon jnr.

I thought that because the child was born in 1890 I might find the family on the 1891 census but no luck.

Not much to go on I know.

It looks like may have gone abroad because of the father's military connection.
