Help finding the family of Reverand James BURGESS arrived in SA abt 1820

Have a friend of a friend wanting help with his tree.
What he gave me is
his Ancestor on his father's side was Rev James BURGESS who emigrated from Aberdeenshire ,Scotland to Grahamstown ,South Africa about 1820
Hi paternal grandmother was a GOLIATH and she married George BURGESS
his father  is BURGESS and his mother was a LAVITA (LA VITA).

My friend was born 1944 in South Africa and came to NZ in 1984.

I have found the following at the National Archives in Cape Town.  Looking at the dates I would imagine the first one could be your guy.  Unfortunately you would have to make an appeal to someone going to the archives to get a copy of the death notice for you or else employ a researcher.
