Hi,
I was doing a general search of areas in the Essex 1871 census today, and spotted a Charles Seaman, from Colchester in the Lunatic Asylum at South Weald.  I just pick random places to search, as my lot are all over the place and found an important relative in Laindon, purely by chance.
If you want any further sightings, let me know.
Best

I have a friend living in Linford, near Stanford-le-Hope, whose married name is Seaman.  She is divorced now.  I could write to her for any details that she knows of if you like.  Unfortunately I believe she isn't online.

My friend is very nice, and I am sure if she is able to help or get her two boys interested enough to ask their grandparents, she will.  I'll let you know if I hear anything.
