Whilst I apologise for having no info about your Peter Read and Emma Matthias,do you have any knowledge of the Samuel Read I have in my Tree born in 1824 in Denbighshire?

Well, WR, it does look as if  Samuel is probably the son of Peter and Emma.

Thanks Gadget,Samuel married my relative Caroline Madeley at Chester in 1850.They named a daughter Emma born in Crewe in 1854.

If you obtained the 1814 marriage location form Family Search, they've mislocated them. It's not their fault but they've linked them to the FindMyPast records which have got all the Wrexham marriages for that period allocated to Brymbo - Brymbo didn't have a church until 1844:

The new parish of Brymbo was formed by an Order in Council on 6 December 1844, out of the ancient parish of Wrexham

Thanks Bonzo,of the seven children I have listed for Samuel and Caroline Read,I only have a marriage for William born in 1852 in Crewe Cheshire who married a Sarah Kennedy at West Ham Essex in 1879.
