Sue I posted the death along with death notice etc on the linked thread.

Possibly Arthur's death

19412/1926
SMART Arthur  50 years Manly
District Manly

A transcription or two may help you with this family.  Florence's birth certificate should show Arthur's and Lola's ages and places of birth.
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/bdm_fh.html#transcription

I'll have a look for them on the 1903 and 1913 electoral rolls...have to prepare our evening meal :)

Evening News  23 Sep 1916
Many Sly-Grog Selling
The hearing of the charge against Mrs Lola Smart, 40, or selling liquor without a licence at her residence in Eustace-street, Manly, on Sunday last, was resumed at the Water Police Court.
Probationary Constable Jurd stated that he purchased a couple of bottles of beer from accused for 1s, one of which he drank and the other he gave to Sergeant Small.  In answer to accused’s solicitor, he admitted he had been to the place of the week previously, but denied that he had asked the accused to get him two bottles of beer for Sunday Sept 17, because it would be after 6 when he would arrive.  At the time he was in military uniform.  He had been at Gallipoli.
Accused stated that Constable Jurd took a room for himself and his wife on September 9, and asked that two bottles of beer be kept for him on September 16.  He arrived on September 17 in uniform, and received the two bottles for which she received 2s.  She said she did not want it whereupon he said, "Give it to the kids.”  She denied selling any beer.
She was convicted and fined £30, in default four months’ imprisonment.
