Looking for parents of 4th great grandfather

Hello all,

William Morgan born baptized 1782 in St Saviour, Southwark, found the baptism on FS, but did not include a parent

William married Mary Ann Wright in 1801 in Southwark
FS listed her parents as Jno and Mary...am I to presume Jno is shortened for John?

and help would be appreciated thank you

Jno is an abbreviation for John.

The FS St Saviour Baptism - did it have a date in 1782?

The registers are available on Ancestry but are almost illegible due to fading. I've checked the LMA catalogue but the register is unfit for consultation.

However, the LMA does have an index which is most probably where the LDs got their info.

You'd need to get to the LMA, but I see from your profile that a day trip is out of the question!

(researchers who go to the archives are few and far between, you might have a bit of a wait for someone to look this up for you).
